• Make the questions simple to understand. Be concise.
• Avoid double-barrelled questions
• Always give all possible response options
• Choose whether to opt for open or closed questions or a mixture of both.
• Make the questions as short as possible. The shorter the questions, the more responses we’ll get on your survey.

Our standard practices to ensure your survey control:
• Starts with a well-written questionnaire that focuses on the survey objectives.
• Screen survey respondents and terminate those that fail the screening criteria.
• Implement quality control checks to separate the good from the wrong respondents
o Attention checking
o Front/back validation: Ask the same question twice.
o Speeding: remove those who complete the survey in less than 1/3 of the median survey length.
o Flatlining: When asked to rate statements or brands in a grid question, some respondents might legitimately select the same answer for all, forming a perfect flatline.
o Red herrings (fake brands): Catch inattentive respondents by including fake brands in an answer list.
• Optimize the survey for all device types: mobile, tablet and PC.

Collection
Quota sampling is the most popular technique for online survey. It involves splitting the population into groups according to sociodemographic variables (sex, age, etc.) and setting response limits (quotas) for each group. We can, therefore, ensure that the sample has the same ratios as the population to these variables.
